How ChatGPT connects to Netmera
Netmera MCP connects ChatGPT to your Netmera app through a secure MCP connection.
That lets ChatGPT retrieve permitted data, compare results, and generate readable summaries from your Netmera workspace.
Prerequisites
Before starting the setup, make sure you have:
an active ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Team subscription,
access to the relevant Netmera app,
and permission to use MCP-compatible integrations.
Integration Steps
Step 1: Open the Settings Menu
In ChatGPT, click your profile name located in the bottom-left corner.
From the opened menu, select Settings.
Step 2: Go to the Apps Menu
In the Settings screen, click the Apps tab from the left-side menu.
Step 3: Open Advanced Settings
In the Apps menu, click Advanced settings.
Step 4: Enable Developer Mode
In the Apps → Advanced settings screen, enable the Developer mode toggle.
After enabling it, return to the Apps menu.
Step 5: Create a New App
In the Apps menu, click the Create app button located in the top-right corner.
Step 6: Enter the App Details
In the opened form, enter the following information:
Name
Description (Optional)
MCP Server URL
Authentication
Step 7: Authenticate with Netmera
After clicking Create, the Netmera Sign In page will open.
Log in using your Netmera account credentials:
Username or email
Password
Then click Sign In.
Step 8: Email Verification
If this is your first connection, Netmera may send a verification email for security purposes.
Click the verification link in the email to complete the process.
Step 9: Verify the App Connection
After successful authentication, you will return to the Apps menu.
You should now see the Netmera app under the Enabled apps section with the DEV badge.
Step 10: Review Connection Details
Click the Netmera app to review connection details such as:

Disable Developer Mode
Go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and disable the Developer mode toggle.
ChatGPT MCP Limitations
Developer Mode is required to add custom connectors.
Custom MCP connectors are not reviewed by OpenAI and may introduce potential security risks.
OAuth authentication is required. Basic authentication is not supported.
ChatGPT MCP support currently operates as a beta/developer feature.
Error and debugging information may be more limited compared to Claude.
